As a teacher/director Barry had occasionally made cookies (The Midnight MInt, BTC’s signature cookie) for the intermission concession sales of the mainstage shows. When he retired in 2005, he started a small part-time business baking for local coffee houses and theaters.

It was kind of a one-man show, but people loved the cookies. Now, BTC bakes more varieties of cookies and many, many more cookies. Barry has finally hung up his spatula and apron to retire for good and Andrew and his team now hand-craft every cookie with just as much passion and dedication as when Barry started. We love to eat them too! And we still use the very best fresh ingredients, including Guittard chocolate, prize-winning Amoretti and Carmi flavors, and flours from Moore’s Flour Mill. Our All-Natural cookies contain no hydrogenated oils, no GMO’s, no preservatives or artificial anything amid many organic ingredients. We pride ourselves on the high quality of our unusal, scrumptious creations. The huge size doesn’t hurt either.

What is a Theatre Cookie?

Not just another cookie, a Barry’s Theatre Cookie is huge. Almost a quarter of a pound! People like to share ‘em. So break it in half and pass it along. While watching a play or at the cinema watching a movie or sitting at home in front of your entertainment center, the experience is tastier and a lot more fun.
